Council summer operating hours

Far North District Council will be running reduced services over the Christmas and New Year period, although call centre staff will be on duty all day, every day as normal.

The Kaikohe, Kaitāia (Te Ahu), Kerikeri, Kāeo, Rāwene, and Kawakawa service centres will close at midday on Wednesday 24 December and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026. However, if you have an urgent inquiry during this time, please call on 0800 920 029.

LIMs and consents

Applications for LIM reports that were received up until Friday 5 December will be issued by Friday 19 December 2025. Any applications received after that date will be issued after Saturday 10 January 2026.

The last day for building inspections is Friday 19 December, resuming on Monday 5 January 2026. Building and Resource Consent Applications will not be lodged and receipted from Monday 22 December 2025. Full processing services resume on Monday 12 January 2026.
