FENZ have requested long-term lease of the land and transfer of assets to justify future investment in four fire station facilities. We are seeking feedback to determine if this proposal has community support.

The purpose of the Parks and Reserves Bylaw is ensure fair and appropriate use of parks and reserves in the Far North. We would like your feedback on a proposed new Parks and Reserves Bylaw.

The Far North is home to a range of unique landscapes, species and habitats, many of which are under threat. Council is required to identify and protect these habitats through a District Plan.

We are reviewing the way we protect heritage in the Far North as part of the District Plan review. Are we protecting the right things? Do we need to revise the areas? Tell us what you think.

The Proposed District Plan will be notified on Wednesday 27 July, 2022. This opens a formal submission period that runs for 60 working days.
