** UPDATE - 21 January at midday **

BENTZEN DRIVE, PAREKURA BAY | Residents Only | Fallen Tree |
MONUMENT ROAD, NEAR TAPUHI ROAD | 4WD Access only | Flooding |

A slip in Rāwhiti has closed a road and a tree fallen across a road in Kawakawa are the only roading incidents reported so far as a storm, classed as an Orange heavy rain warning and strong wind watch by the MetService, eases across Northland.
Rāwhiti Road is closed as a recurring slip is cleared, while a tree that has fallen across Range Road in Kawakawa is also being cleared. Range Road remains open.
Heavy rain and gale-force winds which swept across Northland during the night and early this morning, are expected to move across to Auckland and the Coromandel today.
More than 1300 homes across Northland were reported as having being without power this morning, due to high winds. Despite the heavy rain, FNDC water assets are being inspected regularly and are holding up well.
Roading information will be updated throughout the day and any changes will be posted to this webpage.
