One-lane closure on Pukepoto Road

Pukepoto Road in Kaitāia will be reduced to one lane for the next three weeks while major sewer works get underway. Vehicles will need to detour via Matthews Avenue during this time and all heavy traffic is asked to avoid the area.

The work began earlier this week and will continue until early July. Local contractors, United Civil Construction, is installing new 475mm sewage pipes and manholes between Bonnetts Road and Puckey Avenue to improve wastewater systems.

Work hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Light vehicles can still use Pukepoto Road, but delays are likely during work times. All heavy traffic is asked to avoid the area.

Motorists are thanked for their patience while this important work is completed. Please plan your trips and allow extra time.
