Visitors to Far North District Council’s Waitangi Day stall will have an opportunity to make a game out of climate change – part of council efforts to enhance understanding and empower communities to tackle the serious environmental challenges facing the district.

Contractors will begin work on Wednesday 7 February to repair a major slip and install a stormwater culvert on Waikare Road, which links State Highway 11 near Kawakawa, and Russell Whakapara Road.

The annual ‘Vert Jam’ skateboarding competition is back in Kerikeri for 2024. The two-day event kicks off at Kerikeri Domain with Bowl Jam starting Thursday February 8 at 5pm, followed on Friday with Vert Jam starting at 4.30pm.
