Kerikeri pool to make a splash from 1 November

Swimmers eager to make the most of spring weather will have to wait another week before taking the plunge at the Kerikeri outdoor pool.
Traditionally, the pool at Kerikeri High School off Hone Heke Road opens each year during Labour Day long weekend. However, technical issues discovered during pre-opening maintenance mean that the pool will now reopen to the public the following weekend on Saturday 1 November.
Contractors identified technical problems as they prepared the facilities for the new season, prompting the slightly extended closure. Once those issues are resolved, visitors can look forward to swimming in the six-lane, 25-metre pool, as well as enjoying the dive pool and toddlers’ pool. Even better, entry fees remain the same as last year at $4 for adults, $3 for children aged five and over, and free for children under five. Gold Card holders continue to enjoy free access with presentation of their card. A 10-swim concession pass is available for $25.
More information about opening hours and programmes can be found on the Kerikeri Pools webpage.
