We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

VIDEO - Meet the District Plan team

The District Plan is a key part of the council's Planning and Policy team’s mahi. The District Plan controls where certain activities can take place, and how land can be used, developed and subdivided. Hearings on the Proposed District Plan are now well underway across the Far North and our District Plan team is focused on analysing your submissions. Find out more about their work in this video.
