Partial road closure for bridge resurface on Wiroa Rd

A one-way bridge on Wiroa Road west of Kerikeri will be closed for resurfacing overnight this Sunday 19 May.

Wiroa Road is an important link via Waiare Road between State Highway 10 at Kerikeri and State Highway 1 at Ōkaihau.

A small section of Wiroa Road will be closed between 7pm Sunday and 5am Monday between Lodore Road and Harrison Lane. Turnaround points will be available for drivers at these intersections.

The work will not directly affect the entrance to Bay of Islands Airport also on Wiroa Road, although anyone intending to access the airport from the west or State Highway 1 should consider alternative routes during the closure.

If work cannot be completed overnight on Sunday, construction will take place the following Monday night 20 May.

Local residents have been notified of works via a letter drop.
