VIDEO – Illegal dumping cameras go live

FNDC has installed CCTV cameras at five rubbish collection points around the district to identify people illegally dumping rubbish. Only pre-paid rubbish bags can be left at Approved Collection Points – anything else is illegal dumping. The aim to reduce the financial burden of clearing illegally dumped rubbish for ratepayers and to protect our environment. The cameras are currently keeping vigil at Whitehills Transfer Station, Herekino Transfer Station, Back River Road, Otangaroa Road, and Church Road, but will be moved to new locations as needed.
